Synopsis: Four friends collect a fifth from jail on the way to his wedding with a woman named Hope. One of their number, Billy, stops off to go to the bank but unbeknownst to the others is in fact the notorious 'Hamlet' robber who has been robbing banks across the state. All five friends become caught up in the robbery, much to the chagrin of the town sheriff and mayoral candidate, who coincidentally is Billy's father. Things turn serious with the arrival of the F.B.I. and Special Agent Hoover, a man dedicated to catching the 'Hamlet' robber. However with the help of a disgruntled Vietnam veteran named Gonzo the friends (and Hope) make a run for it.
